Memorials
Many memorials have been given to the church over the years. Some of
the more visible ones include the stained glass windows above the
front doors given in memory of Delbert Layng and the stained glass
windows above the memorial case that were given in memory of Harold
Conklin. The bells that ring on Sunday mornings and special services
were donated by the Art and Eddie Anderson's families in memory of
their parents, Einer W. and Jennie E. Anderson. The sign over the
portico at the south entrance was a memorial in memory of Anna
Thompson and the new lights in the sanctuary were given in memory of
Richard Nethery.
This is just the "tip of the iceberg" when you consider the hundreds of memorial gifts that have enriched Grace over the years. The Book of Memorials, located between the sanctuary and education wing, list names and memorial items that have been so generously given by families, friends, and other members of Grace throughout our history. It's not possible to list all the names and gifts here but the memorial books are available to be viewed upon request from the office personnel.
